Stronger Communities Grant 2019/20

Applications Close 20 September 2019

Expressions of interest for the 2019-20 rounds of the Stronger Communities Grants are now open to organisations within Macarthur.

The Macarthur Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 to community organisations and local governments for small capital projects that improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy of our community. The grants operate on a dollar for dollar basis, and may cover up to 50% of the total project costs. Please check your eligibility here.

Up to 20 local projects may be successful, in their application for these grants. The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science is responsible for administering the programme through the Business Grants Hub on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Up to $150,000 in total will be allocated to projects within Macarthur on the advice of a community consultation committee, who will review all applications. Successful applications are then submitted to the Government for review and final sign off.

Please note that potential applicants must be a legal entity, and have an ABN. The organisation must also be an incorporated association. For further information on your organisation’s eligibility, please see https://www.business.gov.au/assistance/stronger-communities-programme.

If you are interested in applying, please email my office at [email protected] with the following information: Name, organisation, position of applicant, contact details, project title, a brief description of the project, total cost of project (of which the Stronger Communities Grant can only fund half of the project) and whether the dollar requirement of the project is met. Please note that all of this information is required.

Please note that our office requires this information by September 20, 2019 by 5pm.
