Volunteer Grants 2021

Expressions of interest for the 2021 Volunteers Grant are now open to community organisations and charities within Macarthur.

The Macarthur Volunteers Grant program offers grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to eligible not-for-profit community organisations. There is a wide array of what the grants can be used for, including but not limited to: 

  • Purchase eligible small equipment items for volunteers to use
  • Contribute to volunteers' fuel costs
  • Assist with the cost of training courses for volunteers
  • Undertake background screening checks for volunteers
  • Conduct activities to promote awareness of or to increase participation in volunteering opportunities
  • Adopt coronavirus supports and practices to ensure volunteer safety 

The eligibility for these grants are strict and require the following from applicants: 

  • Must be a legal entity 
  • Have a minimum of 40% of volunteers working for your organisation 
  • Be a not-for-profit organisation
  • Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or willing to provide a Statement by Supplier Form outlining the reason for not providing an ABN. 
  • Have an account with an Australian financial institution in the name of the organisation applying.

Your grant request must be between $1,000 and $5,000.
