I am pleased to announce that expressions of interest from Macarthur-based community organisations and groups are now open for the Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee Program. These grants are valued between $2,500 and $20,000 for a total of 10 projects in Macarthur.
The program aims to increase and enhance our regions tree canopy, benefit our environment and commemorate Her Majesty's Jubilee.
Funds can be for up to 100% of eligible project costs and eligible entities must have an Australian Business Number (ABN). The following entities are eligible to apply:
- A not-for-profit organisation incorporated in Australia.
- A Local Governing Body (ie Council)
- An incorporated Trustee on behalf of a Trust
- A NSW State Government school who has its State department of education as project sponsor (see section 4.2 and the Program Fact Sheet available on business.gov.au)
All applicants must submit their nominations to my office by 5pm on the 25th March 2022.
Nominations are assessed through a community consultation committee, with the successful 10 then being submitted for final assessment to the Department before funding is provided to successful applicants.
I encourage everyone interested in applying to please review the guidelines and requirements here: Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee | business.gov.au
