I am pleased to announce that expressions of interest from Macarthur-based community organisations and groups are now open for the Powering Communities Program. Grants are valued between $5,000 and $12,000 and are to be used for energy saving projects to lower power bills and reduce emissions.
The program aims to save energy and reduce power bills through:
- Upgrading equipment to reduce energy consumption
- Undertaking energy management activities and assessments, such as energy systems assessments and feasibility studies
- Investing in energy monitoring and management systems
- Investing in on-site renewable energy and solar-connected batteries
A maximum of 12 projects will share in the $67,700 available, so I encourage anyone who is eligible to submit an expression of interest.
To be eligible, organisations must be either an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, such as incorporated associations, non-distributing co-operatives, companies limited by guarantee, indigenous not for profit corporations or a religious organisation incorporated under legislation, otherwise, you must be an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust with responsibility for a community asset or property.
To submit your expression of interest, please head to: POWERING COMMUNITIES PROGRAM (google.com)
It is imperative that applicants read the grant guidelines, found here: Powering Communities Program | business.gov.au, prior to submitting an expression of interest.
Please do not hesitate to contact my office on (02) 4620 0293 or [email protected] should you have any further queries as I am happy to assist.
