Christmas Toy Drive

12 November 2018

The Member for Macarthur has today launched his annual Christmas Toy Drive, collecting donations of gifts for local families in need.

“The holiday period can be extremely difficult for some families. Local families are struggling to make ends meet, and many families in our community are living in poverty,” Dr Mike Freelander MP said.

“My annual Christmas Toy Drive aims to support the work of some of our fantastic local organisations and charities, providing gifts for local children who would otherwise go without.”

Dr Freelander said that his annual drive, now in its third year, had been supported by many Macarthur locals in the past.

“The generosity of Macarthur locals never ceases to amaze me,” said the Member for Macarthur.

“Thanks to the charitable and selfless people in our community, over the past two years many young children have been able to open a gift on Christmas morning.”

“I hope that my Christmas Toy Drive will be as successful as previous years in 2018 and I thank Macarthur residents and businesses for their generosity and support.”

Donations of unwrapped gifts can be made at Dr Freelander’s office at 37 Queen Street, Campbelltown, within opening hours Monday to Friday.
