Commuters in Campbelltown and surrounding areas will enjoy more room for parking at their local station with the opening of a new five-storey multideck carpark at Farrow Road.
The $25 million project is fully funded by the Australian Government and delivers 946 car parking spaces along with secure bicycle parking areas.
506 spaces are in the new multideck car park and 440 spaces are in the at-grade car park, previously completed in 2023.
These parking spaces will provide Sydney’s growing south-western suburbs with easier and safer access to public transport while reducing road congestion in the local area.
The new car park will improve connectivity and liveability with a more efficient transport system.
Sustainability features such as electric vehicle charging stations, rooftop solar panels and rainwater tanks have also been included in the build.
It is also expected to reduce vehicle maintenance costs and greenhouse gas emissions by enabling more people to use public transport for their daily commute.
Minor remaining works including the installation of additional traffic control devices and site rehabilitation are on track to be completed by early 2026.
This investment is delivered under the Australian Government’s $120 billion Infrastructure Investment Program and is expected to boost the local economy by supporting over 400 jobs.
Secure Parking have been appointed to operate the car park and parking will be free to commuters with some time restrictions on different levels.
